Durras Moonshine

Durras Moonshine is our take on a smooth, barrel-aged brown spirit, sitting somewhere between a light bourbon-style spirit and whisky, with a distinctive character of its own.

Aged for 12 to 18 months in charred American oak ex-bourbon barrels, it develops bold oak character with notes of vanilla, caramel and toffee. The result is a lighter, gently sweet spirit with warmth, depth and a smooth finish.

Made for warm South Coast days, Durras Moonshine is best served over plenty of ice with cola, dry ginger ale or ginger beer, finished with a slice of lime.

Produced using 100% renewable energy, each six-month production run is limited to around 300 bottles, with approximately 600 bottles released each year.

The label captures the view towards South Durras and Wasp Island from inside the caves at North Durras Beach, complete with a quintessential grey kangaroo overlooking the coast.
